I have always loved being crafty and making things from my own designs. My first project was a dress for my teddy bear when I was 8. I used some of my mom's fabric scraps and fashioned a pattern with paper and hand stitched it together. I have been hooked ever since.
Now I am adding to my skills trying out knitting and crochet, as well as trying out some new skills on my sewing machine.
I love to read, and draw. I also love to sing. My kids seem to have inherited these as well so my house is like a creative musical at all times.
I am deeply religious and have served a mission through my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, to Los Angeles, California. While there I had many amazing experiences and also learned Spanish.
I have travelled to Peru twice, once with Eagle-Condor Humanitarian and once with my Sister. Now to convince my husband that we should travel there one of these days :)
I have also worked for a construction company and learned how to weld (which is a ton of fun!) and I learned from my buddies there to just have confidence in myself and learn by doing. So that is what I have been doing ever since.
